2011 Season Begins May 3 for our 8th year!
Vendor applications are being accepted for the 2011 Season!
2010 saw our highest gross sales figures ever, along with our
highest per-vendor sales. We are a 'farm and food only' market, and are
owned and operated by the Sno-Valley
Tilth a non profit organization, made up of local, organic and sustainable
farmers, with strong collaboration with the City of Carnation and our community
through 'Friends of the Market'. We have a wonderful mix of high quality
vendors, with a wonderful supportive, educated community who show up rain or
shine to bring home their weekly food. We serve the entire Snoqualmie Valley and
beyond.
Snoqualmie Tribe Makes Gift to
Sno-Valley Tilth/Carnation Farmers Market
In September 2010 we received the following letter and
contribution:
“To Whom it May Concern;
Please find enclosed a contribution from the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe in the
amount of $15,000.00 to the Carnation Farmers Market. This gift to the Market
represents the belief of the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe that supporting
sustainable, local farming is essential to preserving the character, community
and environment of the Valley that Snoqualmie people have inhabited since time
immemorial.”
We are incredibly grateful for and moved by these words of recognition
for our work and this generous contribution from the first people of this land.
Community Shelters Project to be Completed in 2011!! Yes!

These community shelters are targeted for completion in 2011! They will be
located on the vacant city-owned lot bordering the current market location just
south of Bird Street, kitty corner to Hockert Park. The land and shelters will
be owned and operated by the City of Carnation, with a partnership with the Sno
Valley Tilth for long term agreement for use of the building and site for the
Carnation Farmers Market and other special events. The rest of the time this
structure will be used by the community for picnic and special events. This site
is part of a greater vision for creating a vital town center at Tolt Commons, a
unique opportunity for our town.
Volunteer work parties and fundraising will be occurring throughout construction for preparing
the timbers harvested and milled locally, 'barn-raising' events, landscaping and
more! Let us know if you'd like to help
out!
