Lindsay Gilliam
Founder and Executive Director
Lindsay has been involved with CFM since she moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in 2013. Drawing upon her past experience as a market vendor, roadside produce seller, and community organizer, she became the CFM Market Manager under Sno-Valley Tilth in 2014, and led the Market through four successful seasons. Passionate about food access and building community, she has worked hard to make CFM an inclusive hub of food and culture by expanding CFM's food access programs and free arts and educational offerings. With her guidance, CFM began accepting SNAP/EBT (food stamps) and Veggie Rx, and brought more guest artists and well-known musicians to the Market. After having two kids, Lindsay left her Market Manager position to become a shopper, volunteer, and herbalist, but soon found herself back at the center of CFM, leading the effort to bring back the Market after SVT announced they were ceasing operations. Lindsay has continued her work around food and community in her current role as Executive Director and founder of the new CFM organization, as well as Manager of the annual King County CHOMP! Farmers Market, and has contracted with the Washington State Farmers Market Association to build connections amongst King County farmers markets. Lindsay lives on the Tolt River with her husband, two young children, and two barn cats.
🏅 Because of her contributions to the Carnation community, Lindsay won the award for "Best Community Volunter" in the 2022 Snoqualmie Valley Record "Best of the Valley" readers' poll. Congratulations Lindsay, and thanks for all that you do!
Robert Gilliam
Founder and President
"Growing up in Kentucky, my folks would take me to our local farmers market for the most delicious tomatoes, and I learned early on that there’s something special about food that’s grown right and picked fresh. After living in cities for many years, I longed for nature, open space, and the small-town camaraderie I had grown up with, and landed in Carnation. Right away I started shopping at the farmers market every week, and not only was I enjoying fresh food that my neighbors had grown; I was also celebrating music, gardening, art, and nature with new friends I would see there every week. Carnation Farmers Market gave me the opportunity to connect with the great people who live here, inspired my creativity, and helped me connect with the vibrant culture and rich agricultural traditions of the Snoqualmie Valley. For several years I volunteered at the Market, and in 2020 when the Market had closed and the COVID pandemic broke out, I was determined to keep the Market going so that my kids could continue to enjoy something that has become a treasured family tradition. Thanks to the support of the community, a handful of dedicated volunteers, and our awesome Market Manager, we have had three very successful seasons and are getting ready for CFM’s 20th anniversary this summer. The last few years have been challenging, but also inspirational and rewarding. I urge everyone to do what you can to keep the Market alive. Attendance and sales are up, but CFM needs more donors, sponsors, and grants to pay for staff and basic operating expenses. If it is within your means, please consider becoming a recurring donor, and if not, there are many other ways to support the Market. All of CFM’s activities and opportunities are free and open to the public, with no obligation to buy anything. Let’s cultivate a vibrant community and resilient local food system by coming together every Tuesday!"

Becky Reimer
Founder and Director
"My husband and I moved to Carnation in 2004 to start farming on our 10 acres. Luckily for me, it coincided with the first year of the Carnation Farmers Market. Selling at the farmers market was the way I got to know my neighbors and fellow towns people. I loved market day! 18 years later, between being a vendor, shopper, volunteer, and supporter, I still love market day! I may not be a vendor anymore, but I still feel the excitement each Tuesday as I help set up the market with other volunteers. I feel passionately about supporting local farming in our valley and state and providing a vibrant community-led market for farmers to support their families."
Rosy Smit
Founder and Director
Rosy has been a steering committee member and community advocate of the Carnation Farmers Market since 2013. At the farmers market, she enjoys ice cream and berries from local vendors, listening to the musicians and helping clean up after market days. Passionate about soil health, food system education, and seed-saving, Rosy likes growing sugar snap peas and beets and has been known to nurse sick chickens back to health. A proponent of local food systems, she is a 7th generation farmer, raised on a dairy farm and is a dirt nerd with a Master's Degree in Soil Science.
Raleigh Wilson
Founder and Director
"I've lived in Carnation since 2001 and watched the Carnation Farmer's Market 'grow up' alongside my own children. We love the food, the community feeling, and the music. I want my grandchildren and the generations that come, to enjoy the same things. I tend to be at the Power of Produce table greeting kids and families, but I also enjoy helping set-up and break down. I'm honored to be serving with such a wonderful and fun group of board members and volunteers. I've worked professionally for the most part in education, finance, and administration. You can also catch me performing at the market with a guitar and vocals as Deacon Raleigh St James."
