PoP Kids Club

PoP Kids Club at Carnation Farmers Market

A different fun and educational activity every week, and a $2 token to spend with local farmers!

Carnation Farmers Market’s Power of Produce (PoP) Club is an incentive program designed to empower children ages 4 to 12 to make healthy food choices.

How It Works:
  1. Register online or at our PoP Booth.
  2. Do a fun, quick activity about food or farming each week.
  3. Get a $2 token for fresh fruits, veggies, and plants.

The PoP Kids Club offers a win-win for everyone. Kids are encouraged to try new foods and make smart shopping choices, all while learning through hands-on activities that cover everything from agriculture to art. It’s also an equalizer, providing all kids a chance to access fresh, local produce regardless of household income. Plus, kids get to know the farmers who grow their food, fostering community connections. This program injects over $1,000 a year into the pockets of local farmers, strengthening our local food system.
2023 PoP Kids Club was made possible in part through the financial support of King County Local Services – Community Service Areas Program, 4Culture Sustained Support, community sponsors, and individual donors. CFM is grateful for this support, and for the dedication of many volunteers who curated, produced, and presented activities every week, and supported PoP Kids Club in other ways. If you would like to help keep PoP Kids Club thriving, please donate, volunteer, or get in touch! Thank you neighbors!
