2027 – Community Service

Community Service at the Market

Earn service hours, build real experience, and help bring our community together around local food.

Our year round internship program gives high school students a hands on way to make a difference right here in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Choose from five areas of interest:

  1. Education & Kids Activity
  2. Marketing & Social Media
  3. Community & Outreach
  4. Events
  5. Local Food & Agriculture

Each one focuses on a different part of how our market comes together, from creating activities for kids to telling the stories of our local farmers. Pick the category that excites you most and the season that fits your schedule: winter, spring, summer, and/or fall. We’d love to have you be part of our market community!

Carnation Farmers Market operates from 3-7pm each Tuesday in June, July, and August at King County’s Tolt-MacDonald Park.

The Details

Choose your focus. We have five areas of interest, each focused on a different part of how our market comes together, from creating activities for kids to telling the stories of our local farmers. The ideas listed under each one are just a starting point, and your work will grow with your own ideas and interests.

Pick your season. We have opportunities in winter, spring, summer, and fall, with flexible shifts and days to fit your schedule. You can help in-person at the market or from home with online projects.

Bring your crew. Sign up solo or add up to 4 friends to your group. You’ll all be scheduled for the same shifts, so you can show up, work, and head out together.
